BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great colour. Thoroughbred freshness and complexity on the nose. Stupendous vinosity. Another uncompromisingly great wine from a stylish winemaker and a magnificent terroir. 17

Michael Schuster: Ripe, almost roasted, ripe-fruit and mineral nose. Rich, concentrated, fleshy and finely tannic, with a freshly defining acidity. A fine Pomerol constitution; long, close-grained, complex wine, full of dense, black cherry, ripe, velvety textured and spicy fruit. Long across the palate and very persistent. A fine example. 16.5/17
