BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: This is deeply coloured. The nose is sweet, with vague metallic hints allied to iodine and spice. The palate is creamed and rich and mirrors the nose. Luscious and plump, this is delicious now but there is little to indicate a prolonged future at this stage. 16.5

Jancis Robinson: Red/garnet. Dark fruit, oak highlights good, musky fruity mid-palate, drying out on the finish. 14

Jeremy Watson: Brick colour. Gentle aromas, nice fruit in the mouth. A good wine without being exciting. 16
