Oz Clarke: Darkest red yet. Good, deep black-cherry nose. This is pretty good stuff. Then rather road-hogging Cabernet power sweeps through the wine. But Cabernet is what it says on the label, so I can’t exactly complain. The fruit is good black-cherry skins and a little blackcurrant. Good, ripe, burly stuff for a T-bone now or a five-year wait. 17
Alex Hunt: From nose to entry to mid-palate, this seems like it has flirted with overripeness and reined itself back in. There is a lovely, pure blueberry-fruit quality that offsets the rather chunky tannins. However, on the finish, it turns pruney and flat. 15.5
Margaret Rand: Peppery, pretty, quite broad and easy, not hugely long; quite plump and jolly. I think they used to be called Valley Girls in California. Pruney fruit; attractive but not especially moreish. 14
