Oz Clarke: Good full red. Rather a big round style with reasonably nutty oak. Some stony black plum and a little mint. The fruit is skinsy rather than fleshy, but it’s pretty nice and goes well enough with the tannin. Good, not exciting. 15.5

Alex Hunt: Classy oak and a cool, pure, blue/black-fruit character. Quite hefty tannin and alcohol, without the depth to match the weight. Attractively flavoured if a little simple. 14

Margaret Rand: Sooty, dark fruit, elegant nose. Very approachable, a pretty finish. Silky tannins, mature, coffee fruit, good balance, very appealing and has resisted the temptation to extract too much and pretend to be more than it is. 16
