Oz Clarke: A deep, gentle fruit, not very distinct but nice; reasonable fun with a rather peppery tannic rasp and fair oak. Solid, fun, more spice and dark fruit, and the pepper rasp just about works because there is a reasonable black-cherry presence there, too. 15.5

Alex Hunt: Slightly stewed red and black fruit aromas. Pruney, unstructured and rather lightweight on the palate. 13

Margaret Rand: Cooked fruit, quite simple, texture very good, tannins silky, fruit coffeeish and attractive, yet somehow it doesn’t set the world on fire. It’s perfect, but not that interesting. 15.5
