Alison Buchanan: Glittering gold. The nose here suggests ideal nail-polish remover. Agitated, it becomes more vinous than varnish, though, and there is some stone-fruit intensity and freshness. The positive elements of the nose are reflected on the palate, which is attractive, quite lively, quite simple but nicely balanced with pure apple and stone fruit and nuts underpinned by a certain freshness. 14.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Melony fruit on nose; similar in mouth, with firm acid to hold it together, gives it length. A fine example of an interesting but not top grape variety. 15

Alex Hunt: Pretty heavy on the oak, which is itself fine and spicy, but leaves little space for other flavours. The tannins from the wood don’t do any favours for what seems like already quite a phenolic wine. But there is some depth and structure here. 13
