Alison Buchanan: Gorgeous old yellow-gold in colour, this has a stunning nose in contrast with the Visintini Tocai Friulano. Honey spice and white flowers, melon and almond all play a role in tempting the taster. The palate is rich and full with an attractive minerality giving focus to quite hot, fat fruit. In common with others, just holding together against being flabby. Could do with more focus. It’s there on the nose but just lacking on the palate. 11

Nicolas Belfrage: Pale yellow. Some vanilla fudge on nose. A certain grasso on palate, buttery; good acid fruit balance, and walnut-butter-fudge finish of moderate length. A wine of some interest. 14.5

Alex Hunt: Very attractive, creamy, nutty nose. Good concentration and vigour on the palate, with some depth and spice. The flavours match, rather than conflict with, the fairly linear nature of the grape. 15.5
