Alison Buchanan: Lovely, rich, old gold in colour and glycerol-rich, this has a rather maderised appearance but the nose appears fresh enough, if slightly dull. Waxed fruit on the nose but little else. The palate reflects the nose in being just rather boring, directionless, lacking any real focus, and this follows through to a shortish finish. 8

Nicolas Belfrage: Light yellow straw. Buttery nose, hint of pears. Some concentration and penetration on the palate. Fair length; buttery. No indication of longevity. 14

Alex Hunt: Deep coloured and quite aromatic, with stone-fruit and fresh-rubber notes. Rather alcoholic in feel but certainly characterful. 14.5
