Neil Beckett: Medium ruby. Ripe, perfumed and seductive on the nose, offering a potpourri of black and red fruits. Expansive, plump, richly layered, almost syrupy texture, and plentiful but soft tannins. Still adequate freshness and persistence on the mid-palate to prevent it sagging, but the fruit seems to have shrunk into the pillow. Good length, but the soul is still to show, the flavour less remarkable than the texture.
