Andrew Jefford: Very dark in colour, with generous gusts of aromatic raspberry fruit. Extraordinarily ripe fruits on the palate, backed by daringly ample yet brilliantly handled tannins: this is a wine so lushly gorgeous at this stage that it is almost difficult to believe it will ever taste better than now. The pedigree of the vineyard, though, suggests this will be a great long-term bet, too. If only the quantities were as generous as the quality...
