Andrew Jefford: A big buzz of warm blackberry fruits on the nose, like a swarm of bees; some added earthy depth compared to the village wine. Vivid, full, earthy yet finally fresh flavours, though typically for the year this is actually less tannic than Engel’s village Vosne. Impressive concentration of fruit, but it just lacks the carnal edge of the very best.
