Andrew Jefford: Dark colours, with soft cherry scents and a dense, full, earthy flavour in which perfumed plum and sloe is added to the mix. Slightly less tyrannical tannins here than in some of Grivot’s other wines, leaving the wine full and statuesque rather than dry.
