Andrew Jefford: One of the darkest Vougeots of the year, with kirsch-infused raspberry fruits that taper away to a gentle earthiness. Thunderingly full flavours of great stoniness and density. The brusque, dry tannins that characterise Etienne Grivot’s wines this year come close in this wine to being balanced by the fruit, but even so this will still need a decade or more in the cellar before it starts to sing.
