Andrew Jefford: Mid-depth of colour, with gentle, slightly sleepy scents of roasted coffee. On the palate, rather livelier, with a chunky, forceful style. The generous tannins are well rounded, giving the wine a warm, comforting, teddy-bear-like style, bouncing away to a soft finish. Exuberant, almost jolly, but no great finesse.
