Andrew Jefford: The very tiny sample of this wine I was able to obtain suggested admirable aromatic, peppery, earthy power. These notes, unusual amid the voluptuous fruits of 2003, lend the aromas real dignity and gravitas. My one small sip seemed texturally smoother than I expected, yet the wine was certainly not lacking in depth, force or peppery power. Multilayered, ample and reverberative, this wine would appear to live up to the vineyard’s billing.
