Andrew Jefford: It was only possible to taste a tiny sample of this wine, but it showed impressive, spicy aromatic density, with both spice and power on the palate, the deep, juicy fruit layered over a liquorice base. Fresher acidity than many gives the wine more vertical dimensions than its peers in this year characterised by many horizontal wines.
