Neil Beckett: Arrestingly intense aromas, lightly baked – cherry clafoutis – and mildly medicinal, too. Again, there is sufficient acidity and freshness but a much more layered richness to the ripe tannins. Ample cherry fruit on the mid-palate, and a more generous, longer, softer finish than the village wine. Deceptive length, comforting warmth. Excellent value.
