Andrew Jefford: More deeply coloured than the premiers crus, with generously airy, lemony aromas. Full flavoured, medium length, with appealingly honeyed, gracious flavours that have already acquired harmony and balance. Well- constructed but not hugely concentrated wine, and you don’t get the sense of forces being marshalled for the long haul: it is open and horizontal, rather than tight and vertical.
