Andrew Jefford: Full yellow-gold. Impressively layered aromas with unusual aerial refinement and precision for the vintage: sweet cream, pine woods, lemon; after a little time in the glass, some coffee. Dense, close-knit flavours: taut and tight, yet unctuous and complete. Lemon on the central palate; white almond to finish. Dancing, sustained acidity. Even in this odd vintage, the Montrachet vineyard seems to offer another dimension.
