Nicolas Belfrage: Clean, non-impressive but typical nose, go o d fruit and typ e and concentration. Correct, perhaps: not charm ing now but unsullied by oak and with the structure and fruit to go a long way. 16
Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Dense, plummy nose, a touch smoky. Very rich and luscious, sour cherries. Very concentrated, spicy, complex, with powerful, ripe tannins. Built to last - massive but not overwhelming. Good length. 18.5
Alison Buchanan: Black-plum core and dark-cherry rim - richly textured. The nose is not particu larly vinous, displaying polish and new leather. The palate, like the nose, is very closed. There's a lot in this - meat and power - but really restrained by the structure, albeit by ripe tannins. There are hints of what may happen on the finish, which is mid to long with mocha notes. A big, modern style, revealing little, but I trust it's there. 16
