Andrew Jefford: Pale to mid -gold. Aromatically disappointing: a bit of a void. Some generalised sweetness, but not singing out... yet on the palate quite a contrast: bright, well-rounded fruits in a zingy, zippy style. Lots of depth here and lots of fruit purity, with some finishing minerality and mineral-salt depth. Very tonic and bracing. Would merit a higher score with a better aromatic profile. 15
Simon Larkin : The appearance shows no vast difference to Graf von Kanitz’s Lorcher Pfaffenwies. The aromas are markedly different, with the suggestion of an imprecise, overblown style. The palate confirms this with a dried banana-like character. Decidedly poor - there is no precision to speak of here. Most bizarre. I'm hard pressed to say what went wrong! 7.5
Alexander Scott: Definite vegetal aspect, some grassiness and again that twist of grapefruit, but then creamy and full on the palate, with perhaps some residual sugar. This is competent winemaking, though for me it ultimately lacks a bit of character and doesn’t really light my candle. Good wine, though. 14
