Andrew Jefford: Full gold. Lovely fruit density in the aromas here: subtle and enticing, almost with a kind of buttered quality. Some sulphur too, though, giving that moist woodland bulb-like quality. There seems to be a little residual sugar here to speckle the fruit. Pretty, deep, resourceful and potentially allusive, given time. Vivid, fresh-fruited finish. Good wine that might just get better once the sulphur has settled down. 15.5
Simon Larkin : Again, mid-lem on in appearance. Ripe lime, gently perfumed aromatics. The palate shows pleasing ripeness and that pithy quality evident in a few earlier examples. Struggling in terms of finesse. Lacking some sense of balance. A sound, if slightly uninspiring, effort. 12
Alexander Scott: Nose similar to the Heyl zu Herrnsheim Nierstein Pettental - same grower perhaps, and same yeast culture? But this is fleshier on the palate, and there may be a little more residual sugar here. Fine wine, if no great personality. 15.5
