Andrew Jefford: Pale water-gold. Odd, rigid, acidic scents. No charm. Very intensely acidic, without much beyond those basic confines; surely picked too soon? 11

Simon Larkin : Hue as before. Aromas akin to scented ripe peach. A floral accent here, pure defined citrus; pithy bitterness, too. Great persistence and an elegant style. I would have hoped for a less evident bitter nature but, that aside, this is a driven, focused, linear example. Neither overripe nor lacking in drive. 13

Alexander Scott: Very similar to the Rebholz Siebeldinger Birkweiler Kastanienbusch. There is more energy, and also more heat, on the palate. This is very good winemaking, but is there enough magic to call this very fine? I’m not sure. 15.5
