Michel Bettane: Lovely golden colour packed with ultra-sparkling crystalline bubbles. Super-refined nose, with impressive caramel aromas. Terrific breeding, fabulous purity, great finish. All the personality of a great Le Mesnil - my personal favourite. 19

Simon Larkin : Golden, yellow appearance. Bready cream and vanillin nuances discernible on the nose. The palate shows creamy-orientated fruit and a pleasing sense of volume. Bready, brioche in character, mineral undertones. Invigorating acidity revealed on the finish. This is a fine example, with great persistence and the promise of more to come. 17.5

Anthony Rose: Pale, youthful yellow -gold. Steady bead. Beguiling honey and grilled-nut aromas, nice creamy textured fruit; praline-like flavours with crisp, citrussy acidity, creamy mousse and characterful fruit; almost austere in its dry, elegant finish, but with no shortage of class and character, and plenty of life in it. 18.5
