Michel Bettane: Brilliant grey-gold colour; very subtle nose. Highly refined palate - elegant and neatly crafted. Quite long and clearly well made, but would be even better with 2 -3 g less dosage. A good, well-put-together Champagne. 15
Simon Larkin : Tending towards a bronze shade. Very fine bead. Expressive aromas reveal toasty, leesy qualities. Finely poised, suggestive of ripe fruits. Creamy, toasty nuances, too. Rich yet restrained, almost contradictory qualities. Superb fine-textu red mousse. This shows good race and refinement. A very complete style with a lingering complexity. 15
Anthony Rose: Faint copper tinge to the yellow -gold, hinting at a fair proportion of Pinot. A suggestion of berry fruit, with clean, crisp acidity, almost citrussy on the aftertaste. Quite elegant flavours in the mouth, a tad austere, but still youthful and may develop further in bottle. 13
