Michel Bettane: Light golden colour with green highlights and tiny bubbles; notes of Golden Delicious apples and cider flavours with slight autolysis. Quite acid, but fairly straight forward overall and neutral in character. 12
Simon Larkin : Similar in appearance to [the Leclerc-Briant NV ], with possibly a lighter lemony hue. Gentle bead. Nuances of creamy, coated fruit on the nose, and ripe citrus, too. Lively mousse and generous mouthfeel. Ripe citrus, with gently autolytic fruit. A reasonably well-rounded style for an Extra Brut, with a pleasing sense of balance, and not too austere on the finish. 13
Anthony Rose: Bright golden yellow: small bead. Quiet nose, with a suggestion of honey. Quite tart, appley acidity, giving the feeling of a dry, incisive, appley Champagne. Clean and crisp, medium length, if lacking just a bit of character, but attractively dry and very much an ultra-brut style, with excellent freshness and crispness. 13.5
