Michel Bettane: Straw colour; small bubbles. Sickly, vanilla-like nose; bland palate; short finish. Below standard and rather vulgar. 12
Simon Larkin : Similar in appearance to [the Billecart-Salmon Nicolas-Franpois Billecart]. Bready and autolytic on the nose. There is an absence of true purity and direction here. A Champagne that loses its way all too easily, hazy and lacking expression, with vague notes of greenness and aggression. Far from great. 13.5
Anthony Rose: Youthful, pale yellow-gold. Curiously mute on the nose. An odd balance on the palate, with rather high acidity and a malic, appley character detracting from the overall feel of this wine, which ends up rather one-dimensional and lacking in flavour, character and expression. 12
