Simon Field: Developed gentle colour, attractive slightly enigmatic nose, which is nicely balanced between the floral and the caramelised. Seductive indeed. On the palate, real weight and a certain attractive rawness that, with sweetness in counterpoint and significant concentration in support, bodes well for further, intriguing development. 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Clearer and brighter than some of its peers. Slightly soupy, muddy style of aroma, though there is plenty of fruit fire behind. Rich and vigorous, but rather loose-knit, lacking definition and focus. Not a great interpretation of the vintage. 11
Richard Mayson: Mid-deep-garnet centre, browning on the rim. Stewed fruit - ripe but clumsy and lacking class. Soft, sweet and fully mature. Stewed prunes on the palate, and peppery tannins on the finish. Drink now and over the next ten years plus. 13
