Stephen Brook: Nose lacks character, apple compote. Lush, svelte, not as overtly sweet as some, but light acidity and lacks persistence; easy-going, juicy, but little elegance. Quite good length. 15
Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Pretty and intriguing: one can almost see the avatars of the kerosene note of old Riesling in this, though I suspect that this is sulphur-related here. Apart from that, this is a pretty nose, brimful of ripeness. Vivid, intense, lots of sweetness stacked up, but to balance a great surge of full, entrancing and almost exotically ripe summer fruits: late nectarines squashed together with apricots, but a little citrus vividness and pith too. Arresting wine of real stature. 17
Jancis Robinson: Everything is still rather hidden by sulphur, although it gradually emerged in the glass. Quite powerful, alcoholic and long, but not fine. The heat worried me - a bit brutal. Drink 2007-13.14.5
