BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Well-balanced, medium-full, fleshy wine with a gentle tannin; ripe, sweet, dense blackberry fruit and subtle mineral aromas. Very nice, complete, lesser St-Estephe. 15+

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve : Good colour but not as intense as its neighbour Montrose. Refined nose of red berries, cedar and spice; serious balance and elegant tannins. Another wine that opted for classically Medoc qualities at the expense of a small loss in vintage character. 16
