Michael Schuster: Fairly full, relatively supple, finely tannic - well enough balanced, but just seems to lack the density and complexity that it usually has, and that one would expect it to have in this vintage. 15.5?
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Berry and liquorice-scented, fat and ripe with supple tannins, medium freshness but succulent volume. We were hoping for more from this estate, but the sample tasted was probably past its best. There was no doubting the classy liquorice nose, nor the longer palate than the Ducasse or Clerc-Milon, but the mid-palate was slightly flabby and impersonal. To be reviewed in a few months. 16
