BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Red-berry scented, fresh, distinguished, classical in style and well crafted. A performance to rival that of its distinguished neighbour from a cru that continues to make good progress. When tasted blind, this wine had all the hallmarks of Lynch-Bages in its heyday with its expansive bouquet that seemed a shade too exotic and extraverted for a Pauillac. Pungently spicy tannins combined with long-lasting aromas are sure to make this cru highly seductive. 16
