Michael Schuster: Ripe fruit on the nose; elegantly balanced middleweight with a very dry tannin; moderately rich; sweet, delicate, scented and refined Cabernet flavour and fine, scented length. Stylish Margaux. 16

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Subtle and well-made, but the sample seemed tired when tasted on its own, independently of the other Margaux. The St-Julien tasted subsequently showed better colour and flesh and seemed more surefooted. To be retasted after the summer. 15/16
