Michael Schuster: Elegantly balanced middleweight with very fine-textured dry tannin; long, sweet, delicately fleshy, refined flavour; not big, but unforced, classy and harmonious. A Margaux vintage that wasn't easy seems very well managed here. 16.5/17
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Tasted blind, this wine seemed more discreet and not quite as characterful as its neighbour Gassies, despite its very evident fine-grained texture and aristocratic liquorice aromas. The sample did seem a bit tired. 16
