Michael Schuster: Medium-full, supple, drily tannic, ripe, fleshy fruit though, and medium length. 14

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Soft, rounded and raspberry-scented, with good length and lovely body, ripe fruit and velvety tannins. Beautifully extracted but not quite as long as the best southern Medoc wines tasted in this series. Needs another six months to assert the full character of the vintage. 15
