Michael Schuster: Light, gravelly Cabernet nose; nice light balance, unaggressive tannin; pleasing light, ripe fruit, straightforward but harmonious. 14

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: A modern, well-built wine, with freshness, richness and length, and a transparent expression of black- and red-skinned fruits on the palate and nose. One of the best reds, if not the best, to emerge from this chateau in recent years. Strong colour, and gorgeously rich and sappy, with a greater spectrum of unusually long, ripe flavours. The admirable product of a thoroughly upright, not to say uncompromising, terroir and improbably sweet grapes. Highly recommended. 17
