BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: Pure, ripe cherry fruit, lightly scented, lightly cedar; moderately rich, medium-full wine with a very light tannin; lovely vital, juicy black cherry fruit, well sustained and with a subtle mineral background; scented, well defined and very nicely textured. 16+

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: More powerful and massive than usual but with stiffer tannins than its fellow first growths and less follow-through on the palate. We were rather hoping for more from such a remarkable cru. 15
