Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Very classically styled and crafted but with those fabulously classy, spicy tannins, Virginia tobacco scents and whiff of truffle that are characteristic of this generous vintage. The texture is lighter but perhaps firmer in the mid-palate than the Gaffeliere or the Pavie, which in turn have more marked persistence. 17
