Stephen Brook: Discreet but charming red-fruit nose, quite oaky. Fine attack, fresh, smoky, concentrated. Rather furry tannins but plenty of fruit and acidic lift to cover them. A big step up on the village wines, with some bite and persistence. Ripe sweet finish with good length. 17
