Andrew Jefford: Light clear red. Clean, fresh, becoming. Elegant, though lacks crisp fruit definition. Warmly comfortable rather than precise. Soft, light, fresh, smooth; lots of warm curranty fruits with a gentle tarry richness and even a fruit-tart sweetness behind. Tasty, fresh, rounded, sweet-fruited, and good: unshowy but delicious. A well-judged village wine from the loftiest of villages. This wine will provide much pleasure. 15
