Michael Schuster: Mid-purple; delicate, persistent fresh red fruit and oak cedar; elegantly balanced middleweight; finely, delicately tannic, with a fresh acidity; long, pure, and delicate, rather than richly impressive. Grand cru in its scent, length in the mouth, and persistence of finish. Good Burgundy, if not obviously grand cru Bonnes-Mares. Needs a bit of time, but not that much for a grand cru because of its limited structure and matter. Delicate and fine for Bonnes-Mares. Good, rather than special. 2012–22. 16.5/17?
