Michael Schuster:Mid-purple; particularly persistent on the nose; a rich, vital middleweight, firm in constitution with a clear tannic sinew behind the lively ripe, red-fruit flavor; not big or particularly muscular, in fact a rather restrained expression of Richebourg; that said, this is long and tasty, quite mouthcoating, gently spicy, gently resonant and aromatic, but perhaps lacking some of the fruit richness and substance that is so often the hallmark of this cru. Will need plenty of time. 2026–36+.
