Margaret Rand: Rich, elegant, smoky, mineral wine; structured and powerful; the power is both evident now and latent for the future. 18

Michael Schuster: Pale gold; dense and lemony to smell, and quite persistent; middleweight Corton-Charlemagne with a lively acidity and a nice concentration of fruit without being particularly austere or vigorous; very ripe in flavor, vividly lemony, with the minerality that one looks for there to taste, but without being the dominant theme that one wants from the best Corton-Charlemagne; quite complex, but not the scope of a top grand cru. Good lemony, minerally length. Will drink early for its appellation. 2012–20. 17
