Stephen Brook: Fine vibrancy on the nose, cherries and spice. Rich, full-bodied, with firm tannins and more grip and density than Frémiet. Close to extracted but has drive and freshness on finish; good length. 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Black-red. Another comely aromatic complex of sweet black fruits with earth and (here) milk chocolate. Deep and intense, with considerable inner energy: slightly harder and more grasping in style than the Frémiet. Pure, deep, and chewy, yet the fruit perfumes persist promisingly right into the finish. 16.5
