Stephen Brook: Ripe and fragrant cherry fruit on nose. Full-bodied and concentrated, peppery and lively, yet with plenty of tannins. Long, positive finish. 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Dark red. Fragrant and soft: cocoa shaken over dark plums and black cherry. Elegant yet full-bodied, the fruits still hinting at cocoa and earth, too; finely balanced in flavor terms. Texturally, this is a generous wine with ample tannins that open silkily then grow in sturdiness through the length of the palate. Outstanding effort for the vintage. 17
