Michael Schuster: Pale mid-purple; dense, backward, and oak-cedary to smell; elegantly balanced, moderately concentrated, fresh, finely tannic middleweight; mineral-infused, ripe red-fruit flavor. Long and fine in the mouth, well sustained if not super-ripe or strong, but well defined and crisp without being mean. Purity and minerality in a red-fruit base and with the length of finish that shows its grand cru class. A good grand cru, if not a grand one. 2014–26. 17
