Michael Schuster: Pale gold; very dumb to smell; medium-full, especially for Bâtard; fairly fresh acidity; overall a lighter expression of the vineyard. Taut and long in the mouth, but on the leaner side for the appellation; not so much mean or unripe, as lacking richness and matter for what it is. Some complexity; good light, scented length; but little sense of grandeur. Only the length of fragrance on the finish indicates its grand cru status. 2012–20. 16.5/17
