Jasper Morris: Tawny, slightly maderized, a touch of gingerbread but still some life. Such a vibrant red fruit is trying to emerge before falling back into the gingeriness of old age. Really persistent, some sweetness, an exciting wine if fractionally flawed. Very much better on the palate than the nose, with amazing persistence. Sweet red fruit returns much later.
