Nicolas Belfrage: Robust ruby, some turn. Slightly green acid but that is supposedly typical of long-aged Brunello, tannins firm, wine made to last, will need to be laid down till 2015, drink well beyond. Problem is that it is lacking charm now, though could turn out to be very good. 17

Roy Richards This is delicate and gently spiced. Soft entry with sweet fruit, relieved by sprightly acidity. Delicious. 18

Franco Ziliani: Fleshy, ripe, supple and elegant nose, with a real Sangiovese character. Has depth, good intensity, freshness, and a real complexity of expression. Ripe fruit, but also licorice, mineral and wild, peppery character that gives pleasure to the nose. The palate is fresh, vibrant, rich, with a solid soft tanninc structure, good intensity and energy and a lively savory finish. Interesting ageing potential. 16.5
