Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth with turn on rim. Neutral, somewhat inexpressive nose. Flabby palate with too-low acidity, tannins a bit green. Correct but uninspired. Drink now for six years. 13

Roy Richards This is good, if very tight. A similar feel to [Pian delle Vigne], but with more precision. This needs time, but all elements in place. 16

Franco Ziliani: Interesting, fresh, complex, flowery, mineral and earthy nose, with black cherry, licorice, some dried flowers leather and pepper. The palate is fresh, with solid fruit tannins, good energy and a vibrant intensity and richness of savor. Good persistence, long finish, and a good impression of ageing potential and real character. 16
